Greg & Karen Sowards
Owner
Kid’s Kountry, LLC is a privately owned group of childcare centers dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. Greg holds a degree in Education, and Karen has earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Together, they bring extensive experience in early childhood education and parenting, having raised six children of their own.
Families appreciate the peaceful, clean, and open atmosphere of our centers, where children thrive in a space designed for both learning and play. We strive to provide the latest educational materials, toys, books, and equipment to enrich each child’s experience.
Our staff members participate in ongoing professional development throughout the year. All employees have passed an FBI background check and are certified in CPR and Basic First Aid.
Kid’s Kountry is truly a warm and welcoming place where children and their families can grow, learn, and feel at home.
Nikki de León
Early Childhood Specialist
Nikki de Leon has been employed by Kid’s Kountry since 2008. She was first a childcare provider while working on her Bachelors of Early Childhood Degree at NMSU. She has held multiple positions which has lead her to becoming the Early Childhood Specialist for the Kid’s Kountry Child Care facilities in Las Cruces. Nikki and and her Husband Julian are the parents of two young children. Nikki has a real talent for inspiring quality care among the many teachers here. You will feel comfortable and pleased with the program that Nikki will provide for your children.
Barbara Gonzalez
Program Director
Barbara Gonzalez has been working for Kids Kountry since 2013 when she graduated with her Bachelors in Early childhood education from New Mexico State University. She started with the company as a Pre-K teacher and has been an all around asset to the company helping in all departments. After receiving her Masters in Administration Barbara was promoted to being the Program Director. As a mother of three kids she prides her self on creating a positive and safe environment for all children.
